Skill Development

The Social Foundation prioritizes skill development as a pathway to sustainable livelihoods and economic independence. By running training centres across Assam, it equips individuals—especially youth and women—with hands-on expertise in areas such as tailoring, weaving, craft making, dairy farming, poultry, fishery, mushroom cultivation, and automobile repairing. These initiatives not only provide employable skills but also encourage self-reliance and entrepreneurship. The Foundation also operates a vocational training college for minority students, offering coaching in technical, medical, SSC, and civil service examinations. Through such efforts, it transforms untapped potential into skilled manpower, thereby strengthening both families and local economies.

Rural Development

At its core, The Social Foundation is committed to rural development, ensuring holistic progress in underdeveloped areas of Assam. Its programmes focus on improving infrastructure, promoting agriculture, supporting farmer training, and fostering income-generating activities like goatery, dairy, and crop cultivation. By integrating modern techniques with traditional practices, the organization enhances productivity while maintaining ecological balance. Community engagement plays a central role, with plantation drives, awareness campaigns, and cultural events bringing people together for collective growth. These initiatives not only improve livelihoods but also create healthier, empowered rural communities, paving the way for self-sufficiency and reduced urban migration pressures.

Recognizing health as a fundamental pillar of well-being, The Social Foundation actively conducts healthcare awareness programmes to benefit marginalized communities. From organizing nutritional feeding programmes for poor children to distributing medicines, clothes, and blankets among the needy, it addresses both preventive and immediate healthcare concerns. Special camps focus on maternal health, hygiene, and disease prevention, while awareness drives educate people about sanitation and healthy lifestyles. By integrating health education with its other development activities, the organization ensures that communities—particularly women and children—gain access to knowledge and resources necessary for long-term wellness, resilience, and improved quality of life.
